A TALENTED musical trio from Neston have made it through to the final stage of GMTV’s search for ‘The No.1 Family’.

Red Voix, comprising dad Ian Davies and daughters Rebecca and Hannah Davies, beat stiff competition from more than 900 other family acts.

They have passed two audition stages held in Manchester and a gruelling semi final performance to make the final five.

Red Voix first performed for GMTV, Universal and Chelsea Norris from radio station Key 103 where they were successfully put through to the next round along with 60 other acts.

The trio’s second audition took place in front of GMTV’s celebrity judging panel, Coleen and Bernie Nolan, celebrity manager Jonathan Shalit and Universal’s Jordan Jay.

They successfully made it through to the final 15 and last week performed for the final time at London’s Magic Circle theatre in front of the same panel and a packed live audience.

Next week Red Voix will perform live on GMTV ahead of the public vote on Friday, October 9.

The winner, who will receive a recording contract with Universal, will be announced on that morning.

Mr Davies said, “We are all really surprised to make it to the final 15.

“The girls are really excited and really comfortable with singing in front of an audience – however I’m really nervous!

“But we have really enjoyed every moment of the of the ride so far.”

Paying tribute to her family on GMTV’s ‘The No.1 Family’ website, Mrs Davies said: “Dead proud guys, lets try and win!”

Dawn Rose added: “That’s my cousin Ian, they are amazing. Dead proud.”
