A HIGH school has embarked on an ambitious quest to track down every student to have walked its halls in the past 30 years.

Neston High became a comprehensive in 1972 – and 10,000 pupils have benefited from a secondary education at the school in the three decades since.

This week sees the launch of RU1OFR10000?, a campaign to trace each graduate and learn about their adventures and achievements.

Headteacher Steven Dool called the anniversary ‘an important moment in the history of our school’.

He said: “We know that, out there, there are many former students who are following all sorts of careers and we would like to hear from them.

“We know that there are also people who have achieved great success in their personal lives. These people are role models for today’s students.”

Assistant headteacher Judith Gilmour, who is leading the campaign, added: “In order to achieve our aim we need the whole community to support us by letting former students know that we would like to hear from them.”

Any Pioneer readers who have attended Neston High School since 1972 can contact the school and let Judith know about their achievements – in both their working and personal lives – since leaving.
