A YOUTH theatre in Neston is participating in a nationwide celebration of new plays for young people.
Professional actors will direct InterACT Youth Theatre who will perform Little Foot by Craig Higginson at the Neston Community and Youth Centre, Burton Road, on March 17 at 7.30pm and March 18 at 4.30pm and 7.30pm as part of National Theatre Connections.
Thirty miles outside Johannesburg, a group of school friends decide to spend the night in a network of underground caves. The area is known as the Cradle of Humankind.
The oldest pre-human remains have been found there, including a four-million-year-old ape-man called Little Foot. As the friends go deeper underground, forces are unleashed between them and around them.
National Theatre Connections is an annual event involving 200 young theatre groups and is produced by the National Theatre and supported by Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Accenture.
Each year new plays are commissioned for and about young people from some of the best contemporary playwrights, for performance by schools and youth theatres from all over the UK and Ireland, making Connections one of the world's largest celebrations of youth theatre.
