A SOULFUL voice and growing confidence has carried Nathan Whiteley (pictured) into the last six of S4C's Waw Ffactor.

The Welsh singing talent show eliminated two more singers last Friday and Nathan again survived.

Now the Ysgol Morgan Llwyd pupil will have to take on Beca Richards from Carmarthen, Aimee-Ffion Edwards from Newport, Einir Mai Dafydd from Pembrokeshire, Hannah Elcock from Pontarddulais and Iestyn Thomas from Cardiganshire.

He must survive for two more weeks to reach the live final before judges Bethan Elfyn and Aled Haydn Jones from BBC Radio One, singer and performer Huw Chiswell and ex-Catatonia guitarist Owen Powell to decide who will win. In tomorrow's show, 16-year-old Nathan, from Rhosddu, will sing live at Swansea's Ty Tawe with Caryl Parry Jones and the band and Huw Chiswell.

'I thought my song on Friday was apt - Dwi isio bod yn enwog (I want to be famous) by Shwn,' he said.

'I would like to be famous, it's like a fantasy. I'm glad I'm through so I can gain more experience, but I want to go further.'

Waw Ffactor will be screened on S4C tomorrow at 8.25pm.
