WORLD renowned musician Jim Crawford will aim to entertain blues and roots fans in Mid Cheshire when he tops the bill at the Harlequin Theatre, Northwich on Saturday.

A shy and retiring man who readily admits that recording studios fill him with dread, he has toured much of Europe and America, captivating audiences with his intimate blues style.

Jim surprises his audience when he breaks into a number with a resonant, barrelhouse blues vocal and for years has been revered among professional musicians as a consummate finger-picker and slide guitarist.

The evening is hosted by Northwich’s Tom Doughty who taught himself to play the guitar as a child and following a road traffic accident in 1974 went on to develop fresh techniques to play the slide guitar.

Doors open 7.30pm and tickets are priced £7 and £6. Tickets are available from Tom on 01606 891988 or DAN Office 01606 41597.
