THE days are counting down to South Cheshire’s biggest weekend of music, the Nantwich Jazz, Blues & Music Festival.

The 12th annual festival, always held over the Easter weekend, again boasts big name acts that will feature at most of the pubs across town and at Nantwich’s Civic Hall.

Headlining this year are jazz specialists The Big Chris Barber Band, while other well known acts include The Sensational Alex Harvey Band (SAHB) and The Hamsters.

In fact, the festival could be SAHB’s final appearance, as the departure of one of their members leaves them contemplating the band’s future.

The festival gets underway with Thursday evening’s Mez Fest on March 20. The festivities draw to a close on the Easter Monday, March 24.
