A MAN who preyed on youngsters in Halton could be back on the borough's streets before Christmas.

Akinwale Arobieke, also known as 'Purple Aki', had his interim sexual offences prevention order extended until December 19 at Liverpool Magistrates' Court.

But after then, it is believed he is free to enter the borough.

Arobieke is currently banned from entering the Widnes and Warrington areas without the consent of the chief constable of Merseyside or the chief constable of the area in which he is residing.

The 45-year-old was released from Walton jail three years into a six-year sentence for 15 counts of harassing boys under 16 and of witness intimidation.

Police described his 'bizarre interest in young peoples' physical and muscular development'.

Under the terms of the order, he is banned from touching, feeling or measuring the muscles of anyone without their consent.

And he is forbidden to ask any person to carry out squat exercises in any public place or private place to which the public has access.

Last month, the Weekly News interviewed two of Arobieke's Widnes victims.

One of the victims said: 'Aki stopped a group of us in the street and asked us to show our muscles. He is a big man and when you're a young lad you have no choice.'
