THE jury in the Jock Straiton murder trial resume their deliberations at 10.30am this morning (Thursday).

Yesterday, one of the three accused was cleared of the murder of Mr Straiton, a 59-year-old taxi driver who was kicked to death outside his Winnington home after a row about late night noise.

Paul Blower, 20, was found not guilty at 4.09pm, 30 hours after the jury of nine men and three women retired to consider their verdict.

Two other men accused of murder are still awaiting to hear the jury’s verdict. They are Nigel Goolding, 20, and Joshua Spruce, also 20.
