MP meets Brown to discuss the North Wales economy

WREXHAM MP Ian Lucas has met with the Prime Minister to discuss the economy in North Wales.

Mr Lucas and other Welsh MPs, met Gordon Brown on Tuesday to set out how the financial circumstances were affecting their constituencies.

Mr Lucas has met several ministers in recent months to discuss the challenges ahead.

Mr Lucas said: “A number of companies have made clear to me the main issue facing them is the lack of credit in the system. These businesses have plans in place to move forward but have not been able to obtain the credit they need from the banking system.”
