ABERYSTWYTH Town have called for cash for struggling clubs so more people can be employed to help make the Welsh Premier a success.

The club’s media officer Thomas White wants the FA of Wales and the Assembly to stump up funds so clubs can take on full-time staff.

He said: “The majority of clubs are trying to save money by using volunteers or don't have the money to spend to employ matchday staff.

“Maybe its something the Welsh Assembly or FAW could look into funding – especially if these non playing staff were employed in revenue-making roles to boost the clubs’ profile.”
