EAGLES Meadow has confirmed four more big brand names to Wrexham when it opens its doors in October.

JD Sports, La Senza, Jane Norman and Starbucks have all signed up to be part of the £100m shopping and leisure destination, which is set to elevate Wrexham into the top 80 UK retail hotspots.

Sports retailer JD Sports, fashion chain Jane Norman, lingerie specialists La Senza, and global coffee giant Starbucks, join a host of names already confirmed for Eagles Meadow, including Debenhams and Marks and Spencer. Next, H&M, River Island and Bank will also open stores at the centre along with leisure outlets Tenpin, a 24-lane bowling alley, Frankie and Benny’s restaurant and Pizza Express.

An eight screen multiplex Odeon is also scheduled to open in April 2009.

Simon Pullen, Eagles Meadow centre manager, said: “We are attracting major high street brands to Wrexham, which is exciting news for the town.

“The addition of JD Sports, Jane Norman, La Senza and Starbucks to our already impressive line up is great news for people looking to come in to Wrexham for a day of shopping, eating and entertainment.”

The centre management team has also been working on exciting plans for a four-day launch party, scheduled to take place from Thursday, October 30 to Sunday, November 2, 2008.

Mr Pullen added: “We have a fantastic programme of fun, fashion and family events planned to celebrate our opening and everyone’s invited to share in the entertainment and mingle with some very special guests.

“Further details will be released soon, so make sure you save the dates and come along and join the party.”
