STUART HAYES fired a hat-trick as Mold Alex tightened their grip at the top of the Premier Division with a 4-0 victory over struggling Borras Park Albion.
Victory saw Mold extend their lead to 11 points after two of the chasing pack both lost. Penycae crashed 8-2 at Rhos Aelwyd and Hawarden Rangers, slumped 2-1 at Corwen.
Overton moved clear of the league's stragglers with a 3-1 win at Llay Welfare while Acrefair Youth eased their basement concerns with a 3-0 victory over table propping Brickfield Rangers.
