THE Modfather of Rock, Paul Weller, has announced he will play a gig at Delamere Forest as part of a series of live shows in spectacular woodland locations nationwide.

The legendary former Jam and Style Council frontman will be returning to Mid Cheshire for the first time since 2004 in June as part of the Forestry Commission’s live music 2009 programme.

Weller, also described as ‘Britpop’s elder statesman’, is universally acknowledged as one of the greatest singer-songwriters the country has ever produced.
