THE 2009 Mid Cheshire Line Festival, in association with the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership, takes place on Sunday.

There will be a host of musical journeys with a difference, and plenty more live entertainment at the Golden Pheasant Inn and Plumley and Delamere Forest Visitor Centre.

The follow timetable is as follows:

- On the 11:08 from Chester to Plumley (and back) saxophone quartet Saxafaction will play a mix of popular classical music, classic pop and film themes.

- The 13:08 from Chester to Plumley will be lit up by Halfe Pannikin, who play traditional British songs and a few from western Europe, particularly Sweden. They play a range of instruments including guitar, whistles and recorders, flute and mandolin.

- On the 11:47 from Altrincham to Delamere “toe-tapping honky-tonk country swing” group The Cowboy Outfit will provide the entertainment. They are described as “a Hank Williams-inspired band with Cajun influences”.

- The 13:47 from Altrincham will see Dr Butler's Hatstand Medicine Band perform.
