The Chester and Delamere Forest Circuit of the Methodist Church has chosen Cheshire Search and Rescue (CSAR) as its fundraising project for 2016-18.

CSAR is utilised by police, mountain rescue, Cheshire Fire & Rescue, and North West Air Ambulance and other teams to assist in the search for missing or vulnerable people, and to help with rescues and major incidents.

A spokesperson for the circuit said: “The commitment and dedication of the unpaid volunteers is impressive and reflects our church’s Christian concern to care for the vulnerable.”

The circuit launched the project at Frodsham Methodist Church when deputy team leader of CSAR Mark Susca spoke about the team’s work.
