CHRISTINE Hamlett and Jackie Dennison are proving mediums rare.

The hit TV show they made in Canada is now being shown in Britain and the response is good, they say.

Christine and Jackie, aged 50 and 49, star in Rescue Mediums in which they help spirits who are ‘trapped’ and help them to the spirit world.

Christine said: “It is now in its fourth week of transmission here and the response from the public and on our website has been positive.

“The producer and director of the series are flying over from Canada next week to discuss whether we go for another series. They have not said yes or no but we are optimistic.”

Rescue Mediums is shown on Sky channel Disocvery Home and Health on Wednesdays (11pm) and Sundays (10pm).

Christine said: “We aim to help spirits who are earthbound for whatever reason – like unfinished business, murder victims, a spirit wanting to tell a story or waiting for someone.

“Once we have gained information from the spirit, independent research is done to back up and prove why they say is correct.

“When the reason behind their haunting is clear, then they are helped to pass through the light to the spirit world.”

Jackie added: ‘Although paranormal, ours is different to other shows as we add a few northern humour laughs. We lighten up the darker side of the work, which can get a bit scary!”
