BOROUGH mayor Ted Lloyd was on hand to open new business premises on the Poole Hall Industrial Estate, Ellesmere Port.

Interserve Industrial Services Ltd, which has been trading for more than 60 years, moved to the town from its base in Kirkby.

The company has built a new fabrication shop which has a workforce of 30.

It is looking at doubling that number and opening up opportunities for skilled operatives and new trainees from the area.

General manager Peter Turner said: “A significant investment has been made by the group to provide us with these facilities and there is optimism in the opportunities that lie ahead.”

To mark the occasion, Interserve donated £250 to the mayor’s charity.
