PETERBOROUGH United expect to beat Wrexham on Saturday (kick-off 3pm) after a rejuvenating run to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Although the Cambridgeshire side have only picked up one point from their last three league games, they hope to repeat their 2-1 victory against the Dragons at the Racecourse earlier in the season.

Barry Fry's men lost 2-1 to promotion contenders Stoke City on Tuesday night and 4-2 against Newcastle United in the cup on Sunday.

The London Road match against Wrexham will be their third game at home in seven days, and 16th place Posh need a victory to avoid being dragged into the relegation battle.

Top scorer Leon McKenzie will return after being left out of the Stoke fixture as a precaution after complaining of tight hamstrings but scored the winner against Wrexham.

The 23-year-old is one to watch with 10 goals despite being hampered by injury. So far this season when McKenzie scores Peterborough don t lose and usually win.

First choice centre-half Simon Rea is also expected to make a comeback after being sidelined with a calf strain.

Fry has been in charge at Peterborough for more than six years now and is the club s longest serving manager.

And Wrexham should take notice after Fry s half-time talk against Newcastle the Peterborough boys came back from a 2-0 deficit to level the game 2-2. Although Newcastle went on to win 4-2, with W rexham s recent penchant for throwing away two-goal leads they ll need to concentrate if they go ahead on Saturday.

Midfielder Jimmy Bullard, a recent free transfer signing from W est Ham, has been attracting interest from a number of clubs, including big-spending Birmingham City.

Fry can choose from a fullstrength squad and Tyler, Edwards, Rea, Williams, Joseph, Macdonald, Bullard, Forsyth, Clarke, Farrell and McKEnzie are expected to be involved.
