FIT-AS-A-FIDDLE Mark Preece praised gym staff after he lost nearly eight stones in eight months of working out.
Mark, 39, who weighed in at 24 stone when he joined the new gym at Moss Farm Leisure Centre, said: “The great thing about Moss Farm is that you don’t feel self-conscious, but the gym equipment is just as good as any of the private gyms in the area.
“When I started out I couldn’t do three minutes on the running machine, now I do half an hour.
“The gym has equipment for beginners, but there is also stuff to use for people with a very high level of fitness. It is also good that I can use my gym membership at Rudheath and at Winsford Sports Complex.
“I live in Winsford so I am looking forward to the Lifestyle Centre opening next year.”
Mark was referred to the gym by Hope Hospital, in Salford, after a knee injury.
