RUNNERS turned out in force to help raise much-needed funds for Cuddington-based charity The Joshua Tree at Marbury Country Park.

The foundation’s third annual Family Fun Run was held on Saturday, April 25, with 2.5km and 5km races held.

The charity was set up by Lynda Hill and husband David after their son Joshua was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2004.

The family hope to set up a £500,000 holiday home and support centre off Dalefords Lane, Sandiway, for children who have cancer or other illnesses that prevent them from doing everyday activities.

They are currently seeking full planning permission.
