A BURGLAR who made off with a laptop and cash from an Ellesmere Port church has been jailed for 36 weeks.
Paul Daniel Francis, 40, of Sutton Way, Great Sutton, took the computer plus £140 cash from Trinity Church, Whitby Road, on February 27.
He appeared at Chester Magistrates Court where he admitted the theft and was sent down for 26 weeks, plus another 10 weeks for a separate offence of theft from February.
He admitted carrying a foil-lined carrier bag in Ellesmere Port to use for shoplifting.
The court did not order him to pay compensation.
