A MAN has been left needing surgery following an assault at a Wrexham nightclub.
At about 2am on Saturday, August 2, an assault took place near the dance floor at the Liquid nightclub, next to the stairs which lead to the separate Envy club.
A 27-year-old man was punched after allegedly being involved in an argument with another man.
An ambulance was called and the man was taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
The 27-year-old sustained a serious injury to his cheekbone which will require surgery.
The offender is described as being aged in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5ft 8in and of slim build.
He had very short, brown hair and was wearing a long-sleeved, light-coloured shirt.
Enquiries are continuing and CCTV footage is being studied as part of the investigation.
