A MAN has been killed and three people are injured after an eleven-car pile-up on the M6 earlier this morning.
The crash, which happened just before 8am on the northbound carriageway of the M6 in Cheshire between junctions 21 and 21a, involved five heavy goods vehicles, four cars and two vans.
Casualties have been taken to Warrington General Hospital. One is reported to have serious spinal injuries and another two are suffering from minor injuries.
The carriageway has now been reopened after being closed for a number of hours this morning causing severe traffic disruptions to one of the region's busiest motorways.
