A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after being attacked by a bull.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a farm in Market Drayton shortly before 5.20pm yesterday.

An ambulance crew and the County Air Ambulance from Cosford with on-board doctor attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find an elderly man who had been hit by a bull.

“He had suffered chest and abdominal injuries. The doctor sedated the man at the scene before he was flown to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

“The hospital had been put on alert for the arrival of the man due to the serious nature of his injuries.”
