A MAN has been confirmed dead in a fatal fire in Swan Hill, Ellesmere, just after 8am on Boxing Day.
The victim, who was confirmed dead at the scene, was in the bedroom of his home when the fire broke out.
Fire appliances from Ellesmere and Oswestry rushed to the scene and doused the flames - but were unable to save the occupant.
An investigation is currently being carried out by the Fire and Rescue Service and Police - and the coroner has been informed.
