A DOORMAN accused of assaulting a 55-year-old man outside a Northwich bar has been remanded in custody by a judge.
Mark Igoe, 33, is charged with two counts of wounding with intent to commit GBH. He is accused of attacking Frank Pemberton with a spade in the early hours of April 25 at the back of Madisons, on Weaver Street.
Mr Pemberton, of London Road, Northwich - the steward of the RAOB (Buffs) Club on Witton Street - is making a good recovery in hospital, police say.
Igoe, of Milton Grove, Warrington appeared at Chester Crown Court today, Tuesday, and was remanded in custody by Recorder of Chester Judge Elgan Edwards.
He will return to court on July 24 when is expected to enter a plea.
