A SIX year jail sentence was imposed at Shrewsbury Crown Court today (Friday) on a 29-year-old man who carried out a masked armed robbery on Loppington Post Office.

The court was told that Aaron Scane, a drug user who was under pressure by his suppliers to pay a £3,000 debt, put a pair of women’s tights over his face and demanded money from the terrified sub postmistress who was alone in the shop apart from her four-year-old son. Scane got away with £760 in cash.

Scane from Priory Walk, Rectory Road, Llanymynech, admitted robbing Mrs. Emma Parker and possession of a gun in the course of robbery.
