LIVERPOOL’s iconic waterfront is being celebrated in a spectacular new photographic exhibition at the Blue Planet Aquarium.
The exhibition, which is free to visitors at the Little Stanney attraction, features 30 works of art by up and coming Liverpool photographer Mike Burns.
Born and bred in Birkenhead, Mike is a self taught snapper who was recently given a ‘highly commended’ award at a photographic exhibition in Birkenhead Park.
He said: “I have a particular interest in the Liverpool waterfront and iconic local buildings.
“I take hundreds of photos to capture that perfect moment in time, create a short list and then digitally manipulate the natural colours for an unusual and eye-catching effect.”
The exhibition will run from now until the end of April in the aquarium’s Ocean Suite.
Blue Planet park director Andy Hygate said: “Mike’s use of photography combined with digital effects creates some truly stunning imagery and it provides a way of looking at familiar and iconic views in a completely new and unique style.”
