FOOTBALL legend Graeme Sharp and former Brookside stars helped an Indian restaurant in Little Sutton celebrate its second birthday last week.

Holdi Spice Lounge invited regular customers, local businesses and well-known faces to sample dishes, free-flowing champagne and traditional entertainment.

Guests were treated to authentic Bhangra dancers and drummers who gave lessons to the crowd, as well as Henna tattooists.

Owner Rukon Kamaly, who also owns Holdi Express takeaway in Little Sutton, said the evening was a chance to thank their loyal customers.

“My first restaurant here in Little Sutton will always have a special place in my heart and the people here have played a huge part in making it so successful,” he said.

“For me to be able to create food that people go away talking about, for me, is incredible and something that I dream about.

“The evening was truly magical and the atmosphere could only be described as electric.”
