HOLIDAY Inn, Chester South has allowed one Ellesmere Port family the chance to eat a festive meal together, despite Little Sutton dad Bob Jameson being on duty on December 25.
There will be a dinner with all the trimmings and a Father Christmas on hand for the children.
Bob, 58, who joined the ambulance service at 17 has also learned he will be working the next three Christmas days.
He said: “It’s very difficult for families to work around Christmas lunch.
“It’s very generous of the Holiday Inn to do that. Everybody’s very grateful to them.”
Bob explained Christmas day gets busier once people have had a few drinks over lunch.
He added: “In the morning it’s usually fairly quiet.
“It usually hots up when people have been drinking.”
Bob will be accompanied by his wife Hazel, who works for the patient transport service at the Countess of Chester Hospital, police officer son Mark and Cheshire East council worker daughter Claire.
Vince Garrington, Holiday Inn Chester South general manager said: “It is a great honour for the hotel to have the opportunity to reward the hardworking men and women of our emergency services and give them and their families an early Christmas gift from us.”
Holiday Inn Chester South also offers 35% off room rates for all members of the emergency services – contact the hotel for more information on 0871 9429019.
