THE Easter bunny hopped down to a Ledsham hotel this week to hide eggs in preparation for a charity fun day.

Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel general manager Nicola Underhill was on hand to help the giant rabbit – Leisure Club sales manager Shaun Thomas – hide dozens of coloured eggs about the hotel grounds in preparation for a grand Easter egg hunt and family fun day at the venue on Good Friday.

Proceeds raised during the event, from noon-4pm, on April 6, will go to Claire House Children’s Hospice.

Nicola said: “We have been very busy with preparations for this event which promises to be great fun for all the family with lots of games and activities, on top of the Easter egg hunt itself.

“It promises to be a fantastic day for all the family while raising money for an extremely worthwhile cause.”

As well as chocolate eggs galore, there are a host of prizes up for grabs, including a family pass to Chester Zoo, an overnight family stay at the Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel with dinner, bed and breakfast and membership for a family of four at the hotel’s leisure club for a month.

Claire House senior area fundraiser Kirsty Wright said: “We were egg-static when we heard MacDonald Craxton Wood would be supporting Claire House.

“The fact that local children will be supporting the children at Claire House makes it even more special.”
