A CHINESE speaking lawyer now works in Runcorn.

Benjamin Lee, 26, speaks fluent Cantonese and English, and works for Butcher and Barlow Solicitors.

Born in Liverpool to Chinese parents, Mr Lee decided to study law after realising there was a strong demand for lawyers fluent in Chinese.

He joined Butcher and Barlow in 2007 and recently transferred to the firm’s Runcorn office.

Butcher and Barlow intends to capitalise on the large Chinese communities in the North West by providing fluent Chinese consultations.

Mr Lee said: “Despite the fact that there’s two large Chinese communities within Liverpool and Manchester there are only one or two firms with good Chinese speaking lawyers, they haven’t got much choice.”
