BARNTON pensioner Anne Raffle lived up to her name when she scooped the Chronicle’s £100 shopping giveaway – just the ticket four days before her 77th birthday!
We teamed up with Tesco to mark the opening of the new improved store at Manchester Road in Northwich – and to give five lucky readers a free weekly shop.
And Anne, of Townfield Court was thankful for the luck of the draw after being chosen last Wednesday.
“It’s a nice early present,” said Anne, who works at the St Luke’s Hospice shop on Witton Street on Wednesday mornings. “I don’t usually win anything!”
Others winners were Sheila Richardson, 73, of Beech Lane, Barnton; Eleanor Yarwood, 63, of Meadow Grove, Leftwich; 26-year-old Emma Spruce of Bannister Grove, Winsford and 42-year-old Paul Lambert, of Turnberry Close in Rudheath.
