Residents were in  party mood at the annual Lache Fun Day last weekend.

Basketball lessons, a  climbing wall and circus  skills were just some of  the many activities on  offer for all the family at  Lache Community  Centre, Hawthorn Road,  on Saturday.

Organised by Lache  Community  Development Trust and  supported by Chester &  District Housing Trust,  (CDHT) the event also  featured live music and a penalty shoot out  against Chester FC Youth goalkeeper, Ryan  Nield.

And the finale of the ‘Lache Has Talent’  competition, featuring  pupils from Lache and  St Clare’s primary schools, rounded off the day perfectly.

Maggi Dempsey, resident involvement  manager for CDHT, said:  “The event was a great  family day out and we  had lots of new activities  this year, which  encouraged local  residents to come along  and see what’s on offer.”
