POLICE are appealing for witnesses after three men burgled a house in Ellesmere Port.

At about 10pm on Wednesday, April 18, three men broke into a house on Newnham Drive by kicking the front door of the property.

Once inside they demanded cash and valuables. One of the men was armed with a kitchen knife.

The occupant of the house, a 25-year-old man, was in at the time but was not injured.

The offenders fled on foot, possibly via the alleyway that leads from Newnham Drive to Stoke Gardens.

Police have release the following descriptions of the men:

One was about 6ft tall, had a heavy build and spoke with a local accent. He wore a white and grey cap and a Burberry scarf with black tracksuit bottoms.

The second man is described as 5ft 9in, of slim build, dressed in a black bobble hat, black scarf, black duffle coat and black tracksuit bottoms. He was armed with a black handled kitchen knife.

There is no description given of the third man’s appearance.

The offenders got away with more than £300 cash and an iPod Touch.
