IN-form Alan Kemp won the fifth round of the Percy Stallard Road Race Series on Sunday – and took the trophy.

It was his 12th win of the season and he is now in an unassailable lead.

The event was at Sawtry, Cambridgeshire and Kemp led to race home in an uphill finish.

Dave Astles finished in the main bunch of the over-60s race.

Mark Thompson was third, Astles fourth (both over 60s) and Chris Lamb in the bunch of the over 50s at Tuesday’s Oulton Park race.

Nic Butterworth was ninth in the main event.

Carl Ruebotham, now riding for British Salt backed Team Swift, raced the British All Rounder latest 100 mile time trial in 3 hrs 52 mins and in third overall.
