Keys are ready to be collected for 33 homes in Kelsall.

Building work has been finished on a new development off Hallows Drive, named Sandstone Park.

Developer Bloor Homes faced opposition from the community before their planning application was approved in June 2013.

At the time objections were made because of its location right in the centre of the village.

Bloor Homes North West regional managing director Steve Feneley said: “It’s always exciting to see the finishing touches being made so we’re delighted to have completed the work at Sandstone Park.

“The homes were carefully designed to blend in with their surroundings and have been built to the highest standards .

“The development has delivered much-needed new housing for local people, and we have enjoyed welcoming new residents to this vibrant new community.”

As part of the planning agreement, Bloor will contribute £68,612 towards local primary school places and £32,426 for additional play facilities.

Sandstone Park, the site of 33 new homes in Kelsall

In total 22 detached, six semi-detached and five terraced properties have been built.

A dozen of those were designated as affordable housing for local people.

The last remaining plot yet to be sold is the four-bedroom detached Clifton, which is available for £359,995.

Mr Feneley said: “Sandstone Park enjoys an idyllic village location which is perfect for families, as well as excellent transport links to nearby Chester and Northwich.

“It’s easy to see why the development has proved so popular with buyers.”
