NIGHTINGALE House Hospice is £3,000 better off thanks to a cheque presented by Wrexham County Borough Cllr Joan Lowe.

The former mayor chose the hospice as one of her charities for her year in office.

Norman Land, chairman of the trustees, said: “We are delighted to receive a cheque from Cllr Joan Lowe, who throughout her year of office as mayor was a great supporter of Nightingale House Hospice.

“The money is warmly welcomed as it will go towards the delivery of specialist palliative services at the hospice. We really appreciate Joan’s generosity and dedication.”
