WALKABOUT Wrexham invites you to join a variety of free, social, friendly walks.

Walkabout Wrexham, which is managed by Groundwork Wrexham & Flintshire and funded through the Big Lottery Fund, provide free, volunteer-led walks, for all the public to enjoy, regardless of age or ability.

There are a variety of walks available, starting from a 35-minute flat stroll in Bellevue Park to two- to three- hour challenging walks in various areas of the countryside.

All walks are free and most are dog, wheelchair and children friendly.

More details on the walks for January to April are available in free programmes from Wrexham Library, the Tourist Information Centre and the Groundwork website www.groundworkwrexhamandflintshire.org.

People can also join in on the ‘Introduction to Walking’ course to be held at Luke O’Connor House, Barracks Field, Hightown for six weeks.

The course is free and each week there will be a short walk, talk and advice on a health topic and healthy refreshments for all participants.

The course will run each week from Friday, January 16, from 10am-noon until Friday, February 20.
