A CYCLIST from Crewe was airlifted to hospital at the weekend with serious facial injuries after being involved in a collision with a milk tanker.
West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the incident on Black Bank Road, Endon, Stoke-on-Trent, at just after 2pm on Sunday.
A community responder was first on the scene and found a man in his 50s from Crewe with multiple facial fractures.
It is believed that he had been with a group of road-racing cyclists at the time of the collision. He was airlifted to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire to be treated for his injuries.
