CELEBRATIONS on Sunday marked the launch of a park makeover.
Over the past year, Marks and Spencer, Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council – now Cheshire West and Chester – and Groundwork Merseyside have been working to regenerate West Vale Park in Little Neston.
The scheme aims to overturn 20 years of neglect to make the park the green heart of the community.
The park has been transformed with new play equipment, paths, fencing and trees. Climbing boulders and other natural play features have been paid for through Marks and Spencer’s Greener Living Spaces fund.
