IAN OLIVER DAVIES was again on the goal trail as Cefn United beat the weather to inflict a 6-2 Premier Division defeat on lowly neighbours Acrefair Youth, writes John Bridgwater.

In one of the few games to survive the rain thanks to their hard-working ground staff, Davies completed another hat-trick with Chris Bennion netting twice while Adam Jones completed the tally on his comeback.

Victory boosted hopes of Cefn climbing into the top half of the table while Acrefair, who remain second from bottom, gained some consolation through Alan Hanlon and Richie Williams.
