A CELEBRATION of the Cheshire countryside is being held to give people a flavour of the county’s rural activities and attractions.
Hundreds of visitors are expected to attend the first Blakemere Countryside Fair at Blakemere Craft Centre, at Sandiway, this Saturday, July 18, from 10am to 5pm.
To promote Cheshire’s thriving rural businesses a range of activities will be on offer for visitors to try their hands at country pursuits.
Visitors can enjoy falconry, clay pigeon shooting, archery, pony rides, morris dancing, as well as sustaining energy levels with tasty treats in a food marquee.
Some of the world’s finest heavy horses will be at the one-day event, with the award winning Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre bringing a selection of its horses.
Dog enthusiasts will also be able to enter their prized pets in a fun dog show, judged by Hollybank Veterinary Centre, Sandiway.
Organiser Ginny BrooksWhite said: “We have a great day planned with events and activities for all the family.”
Admission and parking is free.
