WIRRAL-based rock ’n’ roll band the Jalapeños are set to play live tomorrow (Friday) at Gresford Colliery Social Club in aid of Nightingale House Hospice.

“The Jalapeños blend classic 50s and 60s rock ’n’ roll with carefully selected latter-day material and self-penned rockin’ tracks,” say the Jalapeños on their MySpace profile page. “A Jalapeños show is a spiritual experience for anyone with a rock ’n’ roll soul – mad, wild, lots of jumping around, fun and, above all, some great music.”

The night will also offer a disco and prize draw.

It starts at 8pm and the bar is open until midnight and tickets cost £8.

The event has been organised by David Johnson and Sylvia Edwards and will be the Jalapeños fifth year of helping the hospice.
