THE INTREPID team from the Rapid Response unit at the Maelor Hospital is organising a fundraiser in aid of Nightingale House Hospice.

The team is hosting a bingo and disco night at the RAFA Club in Ruthin Road on Friday, October 14.

The evening kicks off at 6.30pm and the fun carries on until 12.30am.

MFM's Bec and Dan will be making an appearance during the evening to support the team and help them raise as much money as possible for the Wrexham hospice.

A host of bingo prizes has been donated by local companies and individuals, including meals at some of the area's best restaurants, beauty gift vouchers, a DVD player, microwave oven and mini kitchen oven.

Guests will also be treated to a free prize draw, plus lots of other surprises along the way.

Luisa Darling from the team explained why they had chosen Nightingale House to benefit.

'Cancer touches so many people's lives these days, from right across the community,' she said.

'Members of our own team have experienced first hand the good work of the hospice and we just wanted to give something back.'

Tickets are £1 for adults and 50p for children and will only be available on the door, so readers are advised to get there early to avoid disappointment.
