SAVING grace of the past few weeks, if not months, has been Andy Holt.

While free transfers from Hull rarely put a spring in my step, Denis Smith knew what he was doing with Andy. For this level, he is perfect, and while he lacks the pace of Paul Edwards, you can't have everything.

Last week against Hartlepool, Andy kept his head while those around were losing theirs. Especially the back three.

We know we're not going to score many, so we've got to be mean at the back. Against the Monkey Hangers we took Christmas spirit too far. Goal highlights should be accompanied by the music from Benny Hill.

Not a day goes by without our beloved owner becoming more erratic. On Monday the deal to sell to Andy Smith was over.

Next day they were best friends and it was Ex-"Chairman" Mark Guterman who was the villain, holding up the deal for the new messiah.

There's been rumours Smith is actually a front man for Alexander Hamilton.

On that crazy note I'll bid you a Merry Christmas and property-developer free New Year.
