PARK came out of their first league game at home with a point after an eight-goal thriller.
Alastair Buckle opened the scoring with a reverse stick shot.
The first 20 minutes belonged to Park and they were unfortunate to find themselves pegged back 10 minutes before the break – a penalty corner creeping past John-Paul Dodd’s outstretched leg.
Despite their early endeavour the hosts went into the break 2-1 down, Dodd saving well only to see the rebound fall to the grateful striker who coolly slotted home.
Adam Kueres led the second-half charge and soon found Buckle on the far post who made no mistake from close range.
Winnington continued to push forward looking for the lead but were caught on the break.
With nine minutes remaining Park trailed 4-2 Then the hosts’ short corners began to find the back of the net, with Dennis Topping first finding the bottom-right corner and, five minutes from time, the bottom left to leave honours even.
