THE humble garden shed is celebrated in a towering work of art which has been constructed next to the famous Japanese Garden at Tatton Park.

The work by artist Nicky Coutts entitled A Tower in the Minds is a series of stacked English garden sheds, which collectively resemble a six metre tall Japanese pagoda.

It is one of six permanent works of art which have been commissioned for the Tatton Park contemporary art biennial and will be officially launched at Tatton on Saturday during a weekend of special biennial events.
