Hi-tech jewellery raises cash for cancer charity

A HIGH TECH glass developed to protect the NASA space shuttle is helping to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.

In the hands ofTraci Morris, from Minera, near Wrexham, the dichroic glass is transformed into jewellery, bowls and platters.

Traci is one the latest recruits to the Paint the Town Pink campaignand has a very personal reason for wanting to help. Her older brother, Patrick, died of cancer earlier this year, aged just 51.

Three local firms launched the campaign, and want the whole of Wrexham to be In The Pink for Friday, October 24, the climax of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Staff at accountants Coxeys invited Traci and Dancing Phoenix Crafts, to set up stalls at Coxeys on October 24 in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
