A WILDFLOWER raised garden and wildlife pond, suitable for wheelchair users, two new sculptured benches and an interpretation panel, will be created at Nant Mill Park before the spring.

The project will involve schools, volunteers and the community in its upkeep and wildlife conservation with continued improvements and safeguards for biodiversity.

Contractors will install sandstone walls and paths, a sculptor will carve the benches and an artist will design the panel.

Cllr Dave Bithell, lead member for the Environment and Transport, said: “Well done to Coedpoeth Community Council. This is excellent news for Nant Mill which is one of the four country parks in Wrexham that now have Green Flag status.

“I hope everyone will visit the park next summer to see the new Breathing Place.”
